Comments:

I moved over to the eastern side of the state when I met and married my husband John. I have been working at Pilgrim Station since 1991 in various positions from learning how to operate a nuclear power reactor to my current position with the Security Group. It has been a great career. I love living here, but sometimes miss Pittsfield. Plymouth is nice but it gets very crowded during the summer up through Thanksgiving. This is when I break out the motorcycle and use it to move around town.

School Story:

Met and married the love of my life, raised two beautiful, smart children, became an Empty Nester.
I have been working in the nuclear generation field for a long time. One child is a second generation nuke and the other is serving in the Navy. Very proud of them.

Sacred Heart School

South Jr. High

Where else have you lived?

Just Plymouth.

Do you still see/talk to/or hang out with any former classmates? If so, who?

Not really.

What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

Take a motorcycle trip through Alaska.

What did you want to do or think you were going to do when you finished high school?

I never imagined that I would be where I am now. I thought that I would be working somewhere in my field, put my degree to work instead of thinking about going back to college to get and advance degree in Criminal Justice, Cyber Security.

What are some of the high points of your life since high school?

In July 2010, I went to the Philmont Scout Ranch to hike Trek 21 (68 linear miles more like 125) with my daughter and her Boy Scout Venture Crew. We spent 10 days in the back country ~8000 to 12000 feet above sea level. Now that some time has elapsed since then I can truly say this was one of the high points of my life. I grew closer to my teenage daughter. Now I am looking forward to completing the same trip with my son in 4 years!

Prior to that I have to say the month long trip to Alaska with my husband and kids during the summer of 2006. I would love to go back there again, but this time via motorcycle.

Do you have any Grand kids? How many?

Nope

What do you like to do in your spare time?

We go camping, hiking, kayaking both on fresh water and salt water, fishing.

What's the farthest you've been from home?

Alaska for a month with my husband and two children. We went as far north as we could on the Dalton Highway just short of the Arctic Circle. We fished in Seward Harbor and in the Cooke Inlet.

What would we be surprised to know about you?

I actually enjoy camping and as part of my job I had to learn how to handle the weapons that my officers use.

What song(s) transports you back to high school?

Blinded by the Light.

What's your least favorite memory of PHS?

Open Campus.

Do you have any words of wisdom or a favorite life lesson to share?

"You do your best work if you do a job that makes you happy."

Bob Ross (1942 - 1995)
