Grandma Brown's Hamburger Soup

 HAMBURGER SOUP

(Grandma Brown - David's Grandma)



1 Lb hamburger or ground turkey
1 medium onion, diced

Chopped celery
2 cartons chicken broth (1 low sodium, 1 regular)
1 28 oz. can crushed, peeled tomatoes
Fresh or dried Italian herbs (basil, parsley, oregano)

8 Oz. uncooked elbow macaroni


Instructions:
In large soup pot, heat broth & tomatoes; bring to boil.

Meanwhile, sauté onion and brown meat until

thoroughly cooked.    Add celery, meat, onion, and

herbs to soup pot.  Simmer for 1 hour.  Add macaroni

and cook for several more minutes.


Serve with fresh Parmesan cheese and crusty bread

Emily requested it for her family birthday dinner tonight.  I make everything with ground turkey.  The recipe is sooooo easy!
